I developed 2 main lines of research:
- reading acquisition (in typical children, children with dyslexia, children with language disorders, in bilingual children, in children from Low income) with a specific focus -not exclusively- on morphological processing and, more recently, on orthographic facilitation in word learning
- second language learning and bilingualism: especially L2 word learning and word recognition in L2
My current projects are focused on
- Learning to read in multilingual contexts (1) the TANMALL project : predictor of reading achievement in migrant children, with Matthieu Bignon and Sandrine Mejias see the website https://tanmall.univ-lille.fr/ ; and (2) the Libanon project with Zalfa Chamoun and Pauline Quémart : cross language effects in reading acquisition in bilingual children) and (3) immersion
- orthographic facilitation in L1 : PhD Junior Vargas and Dr Ludivine Javourey, funded by PIA 3 100%IDT (action 6)
- orthographic facilitation in L2 : PhD Ding Yan and Dr Paolo Mairano. This project is in continuation with the APPREL2 PRC ANR project (see website : http://scalab.cnrs.fr/index.php/fr/contrats-de-recherche/8-research/151-anr-apprel-2)
