Présentation
Mégane Lesuisse is a PhD student at the University of Lille, France, in the research lab "Savoirs, Textes et Langage" (UMR 8163), under the supervision of Prof. Maarten Lemmens. After a Masters’ corpus study on the missed grammaticalization of the Cardinal Posture Verbs sit, stand, and lie in English (1500-1920), later published as Lesuisse & Lemmens (2018), she specialized in psycholinguistics and now explores the influence of language on spatial representations in French, English and Dutch via experiments involving eye-tracking. Another research project of hers concerns the cognitive impact of gender stereotypes in the English language.
