    Full Professor in Healht psychology since 2026. 

    Holding a Master’s degree in Psychology, specializing in Health Psychology, he continued his training by completing a PhD at Paris Descartes University, focusing on shared medical decision-making between patients and their partners regarding whether or not to undergo breast reconstruction following a mastectomy for breast cancer.

    He subsequently undertook postdoctoral research at Sainte-Justine Hospital and the Université de Montréal in Canada, on an intervention research project aimed at supporting parents following their child’s cancer diagnosis. He then continued his research as an Associate Professor at Université Paris Cité, while also maintaining a clinical practice at the Institut Curie (a comprehensive cancer care center). In 2023, he obtained his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), a French postdoctoral qualification authorizing independent research supervision, from the University of Lille. In 2021, he joined the University of Lille as the holder of the OPSYRII Research Chair (Innovations in Psycho-Oncology and Intervention Research). In 2026, he was appointed Full Professor in Health Psychology.

    He also serves as President of the French-speaking Association of Health Psychology (AFPSA), Associate Treasurer of the French and French-speaking Society of Psycho-Oncology (SFFPO), and co-lead of Research Area 5, “Cancers, Individuals and Society,” at the North-West Canceropole.

    His research primarily focuses on factors associated with how patients and their relatives adjust to cancer (e.g., dyadic coping, sexual health, supportive care needs, and shared medical decision-making), as well as the evaluation of interventions designed for patients and their relatives.
