Presentation

Olivier Lafon is professor of chemistry at the University of Lille and a honorary member of Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) (2016-2021). He carries out his research at the institute for catalysis and solid-state chemistry (UCCS).

His research aims at pushing the frontiers of solid-state NMR spectroscopy to gain unique insights into the structure-property relationships of materials used in the field of energy (battery, photovoltaic) and catalysis.

He graduated from ENS Lyon and obtained his PhD at University of Paris Saclay in 2006.

He is the chief science officer for Lille high-field NMR facility of INFRANALYTICS infrastructure and since 2022, the head of research team NMR and inorganic materials of UCCS.

He is also a member of the editorial board of Solid-State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance journal.
