Human beings need to adapt the spontaneous pace of their actions to interact with their environment. However, little is known concerning the cognitive mechanisms and brain areas underlying such temporal control. I am working with the fNIRS cutting-edge neuroimaging method to examine the attentional and cerebral resources needed during the execution of actions performed under different time constraints. Besides significant theoretical outcomes, this sphere of study is a major challenge in applied fields such as sport and exercise.
As a neuropsychologist, I am also specialized in the cognitive assessment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from psychiatric disorders.
