My teaching connects the fundamentals of chemistry with catalysis, biomass conversion and biorefineries. It draws on my research and teaching experience in France and Japan.

University of Lille

I teach undergraduate chemistry, including thermodynamics, kinetics and the chemistry of the elements, and contribute to the Master’s in Chemistry, Biorefinery track, through teaching on catalysis and biomass resources. My courses include lectures, tutorials and laboratory classes.

Research training

I supervise and co-supervise Master’s research projects, doctoral theses and postdoctoral research in catalysis and sustainable chemistry. My coordination of the European PEARL programme (2019–2025) and involvement in the DEMO doctoral network (2023–2027) extend this commitment to international researcher training.

International teaching

At Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), I taught physicochemical characterisation methods and fuel processing in Japanese between 2001 and 2005. In May 2026, I delivered the intensive course An Overview of Biorefineries at the University of Tokyo. An invited course on this topic is scheduled at the University of the Basque Country, in Bilbao and Leioa, from 30 September to 2 October 2026.

Since 2025, I have also contributed to Japanese studies programmes at the University of Lille, addressing the linguistic and intercultural dimensions of Franco-Japanese scientific cooperation.
