This theme deals with the links between the use of social networks (Facebook, Instagram), social comparison, body dissatisfaction and eating disorders in women from the general French population.

It is composed of 3 research articles: 

            - an experimental study on Facebook

            - a translation and validation of a scale measuring body dissatisfaction state 

            - an adaptation to different social networks of a scale measuring the comparison of physical appearance.

This thematic aims to set up an interventional study that aims to improve body image and the relationship women have with their bodies by testing the effectiveness of two interventional programs, one focused on what the body looks like (Body Appearance) and the other on what the body can do (Body Functionality).

This theme focuses on the links between the use of social networks (Facebook, Instagram), social comparison, body dissatisfaction and eating disorders in women from the general French population.
