PARCOURS

Sébastien Noël was born in Mulhouse (France) in 1980.

He graduated from the « Ecole Européenne de Chimie, Polymères et Matériaux de Strasbourg » (ECPM) in 2004.
He received his Ph. D. degree in 2007 from the University of Lyon 1 under the supervision of Dr. C. Pinel and Dr. L. Djakovitch at IRCELyon. His work focused on the synthesis of optically active ligands based on Palladium C-C coupling reactions for asymmetric hydrogenation in liquid phase.

He joined Professor Monflier‘s team in 2010 as a non-permanent teacher and researcher, working on the preparation of aqueous metallic nanoparticles for the hydrogenation of furan-derived compounds. He became « Maître de Conférences » at the University of Artois in december 2011.

His works focus on the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanoparticles dispersed in aqueous medium and/or their immobilization and containment into organic or inorganic supports. These materials are evaluated in the valorization of biobased compounds or CO2 via their catalytic reduction in liquid phase.
