The research theme focuses on asthma

Impact of particulate pollutants on the immune response in asthma patients and in mouse models. A mouse model of chronic exposure to nanoparticles coupled with a model PAH: benzo-(a)pyrene has been developed.

Severe asthma with neutrophil inflammation. Severe asthma is often associated with structural changes, known as bronchial remodelling, which contribute to bronchial obstruction and reduced respiratory function. This is why we focused on this clinical problem. We have developed a murine model of dog allergen asthma that reproduces the characteristics of severe neutrophil-induced asthma with bronchial remodelling.
