I am a doctor, a virologist at the University Hospital of Lille and a teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lille. I am specialized in the management of exceptional health situations in hospital laboratories and researcher at the Pasteur Institute of Lille.
Virologist at the University Hospital of Lille in 2000, I started my career in the virology laboratory by taking care of patients living with HIV and viral hepatitis. At the same time, I conducted research on the role of hepatitis C virus envelope glycoproteins in viral entry leading to a PhD thesis under the direction of Dr. J . Dubuisson. Between 2005 and 2013, I continued my activities as a hospital virologist and developed research on the role of Enteroviruses in type 1 diabetes in Pr D. Hober's team. During this period, I started to teach virology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lille. In 2013, following the reception of 2 patients infected by an emerging coronavirus, the MERS-CoV, at the University Hospital of Lille, I developed an expertise in the management of exceptional health situations in laboratories.
Since 2013, I continue teaching virology at the Faculty of Pharmacy and develop research on human respiratory coronaviruses, in the team of Dr. J. Dubuisson, on the site of the Pasteur Institute of Lille. Recently, I have focused my hospital activities on the coordination of exceptional health situations for laboratories.
