EX-PATRIA. Conflits, contacts et circulations entre Rome et l’Iran dans l’Antiquité tardive

I am a member of the Ex-Patria project, where my research involves studying the movement of individuals and groups across imperial borders. I focus on Armenia, whose administrative position split between the Roman and Sasanian Empires from 387 CE until the end of the Sasanian period encouraged cross border movement both in the short and long term. I am particularly interested in the prosopography of Armenian rebels in the fifth century, and in charting developments in the strategies empires used to deal with non-compliance from the fifth to seventh centuries.
