I'm a PhD student in Roman history, attached to the HALMA laboratory - UMR 8164 - History, Archaeology and Literature of the Ancient Worlds, since autumn 2023.
My thesis topic is : "Succeeding Theodosius II. The government of an Empire under Marcian and Pulcheria (450-457)". Based on an assessment of the state of the Empire on July 28, 450 (death of Theodosius II), our aim is to present, as comprehensively as possible, the reign of the imperial couple Marcian-Pulcheria: foreign affairs, relations with the Western Empire, religious affairs, as well as administration and internal affairs.
Since the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, I have been teaching Roman History for first year students.
At the same time, I teach history and geography in high school.
