I graduated from the University of Lille in July 1998. I joined the University of Lille and the IUT in the Mechanical and Production Engineering department in September 1999.I got my HDR in July 2015. In January 2018, following the dissolution of the LML, I joined the ER1 team "Numerical modeling of coupled and multi-scale problems" of the Laboratoire de Génie Civil et Géo Environnement (LGCgE-EA4515). and became a University Professor in September 2020. I teach mechanics, structural sizing to BUT GMP students and composite materials in a professional license «innovative textiles». I created this LP in collaboration with the ENSAIT in September 2007 and have been responsible for it ever since.

For the past fifteen years, my research has focused on instrumental indentation tests, at nano and micro scales, which provide access to the mechanical properties of materials such as hardness and modulus of elasticity. In the case of instrumented indentation, obtaining the correct values of these mechanical properties requires taking into account parameters such as the indenter tip defect, the deformation around the impression, the complacency of the machine or the scale factor. The various research studies show that whether or not these parameters are taken into account strongly influences the values of the mechanical properties obtained, regardless of the materials studied: massive, porous or coated with thick coatings or thin films.
