Axes de recherche

My general research interests focus on bilingualism, language development (L1, 2L1, L2), morphosyntax, discourse-pragmatics.

I am currently writing several papers stemming from a comparative study on the mechanisms that affect language interaction, i.e. cross-linguistic influence, in simultaneous French-English bilingual children, adult French second language learners of English and English learners of French. I specifically assess the role played by language processing, language exposure, expressive abilities and age on variability in the acquisition of determiners.

This work has been funded by the H2020-MSCA-IF funding scheme of the European Commission whilst I was a two-year Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Language Development throughout the Lifespan (LaDeLi) in the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University of Essex, UK, between July 2017- June 2019.
