Christine Huguet is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Lille. She has published articles on Victorian fiction, also on the picaresque heritage and the Don Quixote tradition in British literature. She is the editor of a collection of short stories by, and essays on, George Gissing : Spellbound, George Gissing. She has also edited Writing Otherness : The Pathways of George Gissing’s Imagination, the proceedings of the Third International George Gissing Conference which she convened in Lille in 2008 and she is currently co-editing George Moore : Across Borders. Last autumn she revised and edited the Hachette translation of A Christmas Carol.
